This is the colored (and much better, in my opinion) version of one of my other pieces, "Thinking of Sasuke". I gave it that title because of her wistful pose and expression, and because of the location she's sitting in, which is significant. I won't say more, so as not to spoil anything, but those who recognize the location will understand. I changed the title because, even though the old one fit, I wanted it to have a more 'general' sort of title, and I don't *necessarily* support the SasuSaku pairing. But enough about that.
Quite a few things have been adjusted as far as minor tweaks to anatomy, a *major* overhaul of the background (do you want to know how long it took me to get the perspective of the bench the way I wanted it? Well do ya??), and... COLOR!
This took me quite a bit longer than the last watercolor ("Dog Nap") I posted, but this was also a whole lot more involved as far as the background went and everything. Still, it only took about two long sessions (a few hours each) to finish, which is much faster than I CG stuff. There are a few things I wouldn't mind changing, but I can't, because it's watercolor after all, and they're minor things anyway. Overall, I'm pretty happy with this. I hope you like it too!
Original is 8 1/2 x 11 inches.
Sakura is from Naruto and belongs to Masashi Kishimoto.
That's all watercolor??? I bow down before you in all your spectacular glory!!
I can't believe this is watercolor. Wonderful job. And the way you painted her too. You showed a lot of high lights and nice transitions with the colors. Plus I love the fact she has pink hair!
More please!!

The butter legion- a socialist movement/mass colab project I started, to trigger artistic change and evolution in Da artists (mainly my watchers), to make them more active and dedicated on DA. Now 170 people strong and growing... A "dangerous cult"? a "new religion"? "artistic version of fight club" or "communist movement"? You decide!
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant.
