This is what I have been working on for the past couple of weeks, while NOT getting much fanart CG work done... sigh. I did this for my 3D Design class, which I had to take as a junior because... well, it's required for my major. And the Powers That Be decided I needed the (*cough*torture*cough*) experience.

But happily, I had my choice of medium for the final project, for which the only guideline was 'narrative'. Somebody explain to me how that's any different from illustration, even though the mere mention of the word illustration elicits immediate disdain from all the art staff at my school. Meh.

This is my interpretation of a scene in the Japanese tale of Kaguyahime. If you don't know the tale, here's an entry about it on Wikipedia: [link]

The hiragana in the upper right corner spells Kaguyahime (because I was lazy and didn't look up the kanji for her name, and besides, I was proud of myself that I could spell it in hiragana).
