Anyway. My own take on the historically oft-depicted (not so much now, it seems, apart from apparently being heavily referenced in Sailor Moon?) myth of Selene and Endymion.
I like myths that do interesting things with gender roles.
This is lovely. I get the feeling that Selene is reaching for Endymion very slowly, like she's afraid to rouse him even though Zeus gave him eternal sleep.
Did you have the D'Aulaire's book of greek myths when you were a kid? I did, and I loved it more than any other book ever, and this is extremely reminiscent of that style!
