Second in the Shinigami Pin-up series: Kuchiki Byakuya.

Well, it's taken me a lot longer than I originally intended (anybody remember when I posted the WIP version and said I'd have it done in a week and a half? try almost two months.), but he's finally done! Overall, I guess it's not a bad thing that it took so long; I don't think a rush-job on this would have turned out very well. It still doesn't look *quite* like I imagined it should, but I've done the best I could, and I'm happy with it. Oh, and the background is supposed to look like sumi painting on a sreen or wall. I've stared at it so long that I can't tell if it actually does, but it's supposed to, anyway. ;)

Now to finish Renji and Kisuke, and then on to Hitsugaya...



EDIT 7/14/06 - I reuploaded the picture, this time a little more saturated. It's been nagging at me for several days now... I wasn't happy with how it looked, but I couldn't figure out *why* - I was happy with my color choices and everything, so it didn't make much sense; then I tried increasing the saturation just a bit. Ahhh, much better now.



Byakuya is from Bleach and belongs to Kubo Tite.

Whoa, I never even thought about Byakuya without his hair ornament before. He looks really sexy. I like the background, I think it's what you were going for. And all those blossoms, rawr.

This series is something worth watching. Looking forward to Renji, but if they're all like this, then all.

I would have to say that the background looks like a sumi painting to me, and it's very beautiful. The man standing in front of the screen/wall with the painting is also very beautiful. :D

I absolutely love your shading style, and the sakura petals look soft and silky flowery. I particularly like how you got the three dimentional effect by having the petals in front of Byakuya be in very sharp focus.

*dies* fsdsffhsdjkf! I love that intense gaze! He's hot ^^

Oh what to say about it... I totally adore your style of both drawing and colouring. The hair for instance, I love the way how it's falling around his face without the ornaments, it makes me think I should hide those things cause he looks better this way. I mean... in the battle with Ichigo they were gone as well, but then I didn't really pay attention to it. And there was blood probably.
The way you coloured it, anyway, I love it. All those fine strands...
The skin looks so soft, and you manage to make the muscles show so well too *__* ;)
And.... well those petals.. It must have taken you -forever-. All those details, all those little petals... They look so innocent, especially with Byaku looking so peaceful, but I guess that if he was aware that someone was watching him like this, I wouldn't want to be around...

Now, on to the next ;P I look forward to seeing Renji especially, but I'm also looking forward to see what you're gonna do with Hitsugaya, especially cause he's so very different from the others... The child shinigami, I heard him being called once, lol, that says enough. But I trust you will find a way in making him hot XD;;
