Wow, this totally doesn't belong under 'etching', but the printmaking category is seriously lacking as far as options go. This is actually a series of monoprints, but they were done with etching-type ink on a plate, and printed in a press, so it was the closest thing, I guess. I made them by rolling ink onto a plexiglass plate with a brayer, then wiping/scraping away the light parts of the design. Thus, the one on the far right was done first, printed, then the ink that remained on the plate formed the basis for the second one, and so on. You call it 'working with the ghost', because the "ghost" of the previous print is used to form the next image, by continuing to scrape bits away, or adding ink back onto the plate, etc. The original prints are each about 5 inches wide by 6 1/4 inches tall.

Anyway, not as interesting as my usual stuff, perhaps, but it's a bit of a taste of the art I am doing in school right now. Hope you like it!
